Update August 15, 2009

These pictures were taken August 15, 2009.
From top to bottom:
-Fleet Bicolor Corn almost ready
-Fourth planting of lettuce. From left to right: Jericho, Simpson Black Seeded, Green Leaf Ice, Web's Wonder Head (2 rows) and Jericho.
-Section of oats cut down. This section was covered with oats as a cover crop. On the right side of the cleared area Waite put down three 30-gallon totes of wood savings and chicken manure from the chicken operation with his neighbor, Clem. He then raked the oats from the left side over the chicken manure. He will plant this section next year to a food crop of some type, probably squash.
-In the center are two rows of Blue Lake Beans. On the far left you can see part of the buckwheat cover crop. Between the buckwheat and the beans is a row of cornichon cucumbers.
To the right of the beans is a section of Amish Paste Tomatoes.
