Fall 2008: Putting the Garden to Bed for the Winter

Every Fall Waite spends considerable time gathering leaves. He stores them in bags and in fenced containment areas. The leaves are used for mulch the following year. In some areas the leaves are left to sheet compost and in some areas they are tilled in the following Fall.
