Waite also grows grapes, blueberries, pears, and apples. His gapes include Worden, Van Buren, Beta and Blue Belle. In all he has about 30 grape vines; he has about 30 blueberry plants. He has 6 or 7 apples, but each is a native variety. He didn't plant any of them. They just came up years and years ago and he been maintaining them. He has one three-on-one pear tree that produced some pears one year, but it's a Zone 4 tree and so not very productive. A few years ago he bought two Staceyville and one Summer Crisp Zone 3 pear trees from Fedco. He's hoping to get fruit in the Fall of 2009. Here are some various pictures to illustrate.
